Measurement accuracy

Our tools derive physical dimensions from photographs and camera frames. The method is sound and we publish how it works, but the result is an estimate. Accuracy depends on lighting, camera optics, head position, image resolution and how closely you follow the on-screen guidance. Where a tool reports a confidence range, treat the range as part of the answer rather than as a footnote.

Not medical or optometric advice

Lookmetry does not provide healthcare. Our tools do not diagnose, screen for, or treat any condition, and a measurement from this site is not a clinical finding.

In particular: a pupillary distance measured here is suitable as the value an online retailer asks for on a standard single-vision order. It is not a substitute for a fitting by a dispensing optician, and we recommend a professional measurement for progressive or bifocal lenses, strong prescriptions, prescriptions containing prism, children's eyewear, and any case involving eye alignment or binocular vision.

If you are experiencing changes in vision, eye pain, headaches, double vision, or any other symptom, consult an optometrist, ophthalmologist or physician. Do not delay doing so on the basis of anything you read here.

Style and appearance recommendations

Recommendations about frames, hairstyles, colours or fit reflect conventional styling practice, not objective fact. They describe what tends to balance a given set of proportions. They are suggestions, and personal preference beats every rule on this site.

No attractiveness scoring

We deliberately do not offer beauty scores, attractiveness ratings, or golden-ratio assessments of facial "perfection". If you have arrived looking for that, we do not have it and will not be adding it. Facial measurements on this site describe geometry only and carry no evaluative meaning.
